ABOUT AMARA SINCLAIR

Writer. Dream-builder. Devoted storyteller of love, growth, and the beautifully messy parts of life.

I’ve always believed stories choose us first — and eventually, we learn how to tell them. My writing journey began with a simple desire: to create heartfelt, authentic stories about Black characters who love fully, break deeply, heal honestly, and grow boldly. The kind of stories I wanted to see more of. The kind I wanted my daughters — and my younger self — to have.

My debut novel, The Year of Us, is the first in a five-book series following a close-knit group of friends as they navigate relationships, emotional wounds, and the shifting seasons of their lives. It’s heartfelt, character-driven, and deeply personal — the kind of story you feel more than just read.

I’m passionate about building fictional worlds filled with emotional truth, romantic tension, and soft moments that feel like home. My goal is simple: to write stories that linger — in your heart, in your mind, and in your memory long after the last page.

Thank you for being here, for believing in the power of story, and for joining me as I build something beautiful from the dreams that have consumed me for the past few years.
